ECHS seniors have the opportunity to apply for many scholarships throughout the school year. Information about scholarships, eligibility, and due dates will be posted here, in the daily announcements and outside the guidance office and senior google classroom as it becomes available. Please check back often or contact guidance with any questions. Scholarships that are currently available are highlighted yellow.

SENIORS: Scholarships that now have open applications are listed below.  If it's an online application, the link has been posted in the senior google classroom.  For others, you can pick up applications/info in the guidance office.

Williams Brothers Memorial Vocational Scholarship-$1000 award to one student who plans to enroll in a vocational/technical field in the Fall.  This one is due in the guidance office by March 18.


There are three (3) Hermitage Lodge #356 Scholarships available.  All are due back to the guidance office by April 15.  Each is a $1000 award. They are:


In Memory of Dr Paul and Molly Nierenburg - awarded to an ECHS student who plans to pursue a career in a healthcare/medical field. Must have a 3.3 or above GPA.


In Memory of Floyd & Mary Katherine Beuchat -awarded to an ECHS senior who is enrolling in any college or trade school, regardless of major.  Must demonstrate financial need and have a 2.0 or higher GPA.



In Memory of Leonard Stoecker -awarded to an ECHS senior enrolling in any college or trade school, regardless of major. Emphasis is placed on Family Masonic Affiliation, with priority given to those with an affiliation to Lodge #356West Salem Masonic Lodge $500-open to anyone.  Due March 16th

Carrol Stanhope and Edwards County Teachers' Association Scholarships-must be planning to major in Education-2 separate applications and awards-up to $500 each-due March 18th


Reed Kelsey Memorial Scholarship-$500-open to anyone-due March 18th


Janelle Jackson/Jesse Allhands Trust Scholarships-must be attending college in Illinois-amounts vary-due March 23rd at noon.


George & Marguerite Luthe Educational Trust Scholarships-must be attending college in Illinois or Indiana-amounts vary-due March 23rd at noon


Sons of the American Legion- two $250 awards to one senior girl and one senior boy-must have a family member who is a military veteran-due April 1st

Illinois Sheriffs' Association ($500)- applications in guidance-Due March 15 Must attend a school in Illinois.  Due date is March 15th and application must be returned to the Sheriff's Department at the courthouse

West Salem Volunteer Firemen's Association-applications in guidance-Due March 18 Volunteer Firemen's Association of West Salem ($250).  Minimum 2.0 GPA and attending a 2 or 4 year degree or vocational training.  Due date is March 18th to the guidance office.

Albion Moose Lodge Career & Tech Ed Scholarship-applications in guidance-Due March 18 must be going into a 1-2 year career/technical field

Gill Orthodontics (must have had ortho treatment with Dr. Gill)-applications in guidance-Due March 24 Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
